After learning how to master the points and miles game to further enhance my travel experiences, I made it a priority to visit Anguilla, one of the top destinations on my bucket list. Thanks to recent redemption offers and promotions, I was finally able to make this dream a reality! After thorough research, I chose to stay at Zemi Beach House. As a Hilton LXR property, Zemi Beach House surpassed all my expectations and made my first solo vacation an unforgettable experience.

The Cost

My entire stay was covered for free using points and free nights earned from my card sign-up bonuses in 2023. The cash price for my stay would have been around $13,782! The resort averages about $1,200 per night during peak seasons, with an additional 13% island tax that would have added another $2,200—both of which were waived on my award stay. By taking advantage of Hilton Honors’ fifth-night-free perk, I redeemed two Free Night Certificates (FNC) and 440,000 Hilton points for my week-long stay. If you hold one of the top cards in the award travel space (due to compliance reasons, I can’t name it here), they transfer to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio, meaning for every 1,000 points you transfer, you receive 2,000 Hilton Honors points. They’re also currently offering a 30% transfer bonus (click here to take advantage or learn more), which could make a similar stay even more affordable. My Review of Zemi Beach House Resort

Beyond the amazing redemption value, Zemi Beach House made this stay remarkable. Thanks to my Hilton Honors Gold status from one of my favorite cards, I received an email notification before my arrival letting me know I was upgraded from a Garden View Room to an Ocean View Room.

I also loved that I got to select the exact room the day before my stay! I ended up in Building 4, Room 408, which was perfect—just a short walk to the restaurants and beach, with stunning views of the gorgeous Shoal Bay Beach.

The hotel is beautifully updated, and my room was spacious and gorgeous, complete with a deep clawfoot tub and a spa-like shower. My favorite features included a separate makeup vanity and a bed facing the ocean, allowing me to wake up to breathtaking views every morning.

Complimentary Breakfast

Breakfast at Zemi Beach House was served in the 20 Knots restaurant, offering stunning views of the infamous Shoal Bay Beach. This delightful dining experience reminded me of an all-inclusive buffet with a fresh Caribbean twist. The spread featured everything from freshly squeezed juices and immune-boosting shots (carrot, pineapple, ginger, and orange) to bacon, eggs, pancakes, and baked goods. As a Hilton Honors Gold Member, I enjoyed complimentary breakfast, typically priced around $15-18 per guest at U.S. properties. On Mother’s Day, we were even treated to unlimited champagne and mimosas!

20Knots – Zemi Beach House

In addition to breakfast, 20 Knots offers a comprehensive deluxe dining experience throughout the day with live entertainment and traditional Mediterranean cuisine from Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Egypt, and Turkey. A full buffet breakfast—including fresh coconuts picked right from nearby trees—is served daily.

Spa Experience

One of the highlights of my stay was the visit to the 300-year-old authentic Thai House Spa. This serene sanctuary is a hidden gem within the resort, offering a range of rejuvenating treatments inspired by traditional Thai wellness practices. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warm hospitality, and to my delight, they had decorated the other bed for my birthday celebration, complete with beautiful touches that made the experience feel extra special. After my treatment, I was pleasantly surprised to find refreshing mimosas waiting for me. During my stay, they were offering 20% off to guests, AND was able to apply quarterly credits to the cost.

Final Thoughts

Beyond the stunning beauty of Zemi Beach House, the service truly stood out as top-notch. The staff greeted me with incredible warmth and friendliness from the moment I arrived, making their hospitality a refreshing experience that set the tone for my entire stay. The bellman was quick to park my rental car, and I enjoyed convenient golf cart rides around the resort. The attentive beach service ensured I had everything I needed, allowing me to relax and soak in the sun without a care in the world.

As this was my first solo trip, I had the most AMAZING experience—not only because of the attentive staff at the resort but also due to the welcoming locals on the island. I felt right at home in the friendly community, which made my trip all the more special. To explore the island at my own pace, I opted to rent a car for the week, which cost under $200. This is completely optional, and while taxis are available, having my own vehicle allowed me to venture out and discover the hidden gems of Anguilla every day.

I’m looking forward to returning next year for one of the island’s most popular events: Carnival! It never ceases to amaze me how the power of points and miles can transform a travel experience. Anguilla is a small island, and while it can be quite pricey, I managed to spend an entire week in pure paradise and luxury for less than $70!
