Qatar Airways Privilege Club has launched a limited-time transfer bonus of up to 40% when you convert points from participating partners into Avios. This is one of the highest bonuses we’ve seen for Qatar, especially since the top tier only requires a 50,000-Avios transfer to unlock.
That means if you transfer 50,000 Avios, you’ll earn an extra 20,000 bonus Avios for a total of 70,000. The bonus is awarded on Qatar’s side after your transfer is complete.
I personally took advantage of a 30% bonus in a past campaign and would have loved to hit the 40% tier. At the time, Citi was still offering the 10% ThankYou® Points rebate before it was removed from the Rewards+ card, so that helped offset the lower bonus.

For U.S. travelers, the two main partners you’ll likely use are Citi ThankYou® Points and World of Hyatt.
- Citi ThankYou® Points transfer directly to Qatar Avios at a 1:1 ratio, making this the most straightforward and valuable option for taking advantage of the bonus.
- World of Hyatt transfers at a 2.5:1 ratio into Qatar Avios. Even with the bonus, this isn’t the best use of Hyatt points since their value is generally much stronger when redeemed for hotel stays. The only time it may make sense is if you’re topping off your account to reach a specific Avios award.
