Chicago Midway Airport Launches Its First Lounge: Club MDW Opens Tomorrow!

As a proud Chicago native, I couldn’t be more excited to share the news that Midway International Airport’s (MDW) first-ever lounge, Club MDW, officially opens tomorrow! This premium space brings a much-needed area for travelers to relax and unwind before flights. After nearly a century without one, this lounge is an amazing addition to Midway, offering comfort and convenience to both leisure and business travelers.

What You Can Expect at Club MDW: Club MDW boasts a cozy atmosphere with seating areas, free Wi-Fi, and charging stations. Complimentary food and beverages are also available, making it a haven for frequent flyers and casual travelers. It’s located past security near Gate B1, giving passengers easy access while waiting for their flights.

Mayor Brandon Johnson enthusiastically welcomed the lounge, stating, “Midway International Airport is an essential gateway for our city, and The Club MDW is a key part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience here in Chicago for leisure and business passengers.”

Key Information:

  • Opening Date: September 26, 2024 – Pre-book now!
  • You can now book 6 hours before your flight time.
  • Access is permitted 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.
  • Infants under 2 years are admitted free. All children (17 or under) must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over).

Lounge Hours:

  • Daily: 04:00am – 10:00pm

Amenities:

  • Complimentary snacks & beverages*
  • Digital Food & Beverage Ordering
  • Comfortable, spacious seating
  • Flight information screens
  • Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
  • Digital newspapers & magazines

*Alcoholic drinks are only available for passengers 21 years of age or older.

*Please note that some amenities and services may be temporarily unavailable due to local and regional restrictions.

Accessing the Lounge: Members with Priority Pass, a benefit of many popular travel credit cards, can access the lounge for free. Additionally, LoungeKey members will also enjoy access. Don’t have either? You can still enjoy Club MDW by purchasing a Club Day Pass for $50.

What is a Priority Pass? Priority Pass is a membership program that provides access to over 1,600 airport lounges worldwide, including The Club MDW. With a Priority Pass membership, travelers can enjoy amenities like comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, high-speed Wi-Fi, and more, making airport waits much more enjoyable.
